Welcome to Feezy (“Feezy,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the Feezy mobile application (the “App”) and any related services (collectively, the “Service”). By creating an account or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Definitions
- “Parent” or “User” refers to the adult individual who registers for and uses the App.
- “Student” refers to a child or ward whose fee and enrollment information is made available through the App by a Partner School.
- “Partner School” refers to an educational institution that has partnered with Feezy to make fee and student enrollment data available through the Service.
- “Linked Student” refers to a Student record that a Parent has successfully verified and connected to their account.
2. Eligibility
2.1. You must be at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to register for and use the App.
2.2. The App is intended for use by parents or legal guardians acting on behalf of a Student. You represent that you are the parent or legal guardian of, or are otherwise legally authorized to manage fee payments on behalf of, any Student you link to your account.
2.3. The App is not directed at, and may not be used by, children. We do not knowingly permit children to create accounts or interact directly with the Service.
3. Account Registration
3.1. To use the Service, you must register using a valid mobile phone number, which will be verified through a one-time password (OTP) sent via SMS.
3.2. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
3.3. During or after registration, you may optionally provide your full name, email address, and other profile information. Providing this information is voluntary, and you may use the App without doing so, subject to Section 3.4.
3.4. Certain features (such as receiving payment receipts via email or being addressed by name within the App) depend on this optional information being provided. Declining to provide it may limit those specific features but will not prevent you from using the core Service.
3.5. You agree to provide accurate and current information and to promptly update it if it changes.
4. Student Data and Linking
4.1. Source of Student Data. Student records (including name, class/grade, and date of birth) displayed within the App are provided directly by Partner Schools through their administrative dashboard and are reviewed by Feezy’s platform administrators before being made available within the Service. Parents do not create, upload, or submit Student records.
4.2. Search and Matching. When searching for a Student, you will be asked to enter identifying details (such as the Student’s name and class). The App will return only limited, partially obscured matches (e.g., “Tho*** Ed****, Class 2”) based on the information you provide. You are not granted access to browse or search the full directory of Students at any school.
4.3. Verification. To link a Student to your account, you must provide additional verification information (such as the Student’s date of birth). A Student will only be linked to your account if this information matches our records.
4.4. No Independent Verification of Guardianship. While the matching and verification process is designed to reduce the risk of unauthorized access to Student information, Feezy does not independently verify the legal guardianship relationship between you and any Student. You represent and warrant that you have the legal right to link, view, and manage fee payments for any Student you connect to your account.
4.5. Misuse. Any attempt to use the Student search or verification feature to identify, locate, or obtain information about a Student you are not legally authorized to act on behalf of is strictly prohibited and may result in immediate suspension or termination of your account, and may be reported to the relevant Partner School and/or authorities.
4.6. Unlinking. You may unlink a Student from your account at any time via the App’s settings. Unlinking does not delete the underlying Student record, which remains under the control of the relevant Partner School.
5. Fee Information and Payments
5.1. Fee amounts, due dates, and structures displayed within the App are determined and set by the relevant Partner School. Feezy does not set, control, or have authority to alter fee amounts.
5.2. Feezy facilitates the payment of school fees on behalf of Partner Schools through supported third-party payment channels (currently, JazzCash USSD-based transactions). By initiating a payment, you authorize Feezy and its payment partners to process the transaction using the mobile number you provide.
5.3. You are responsible for ensuring that the mobile number and other payment details you provide are accurate. Feezy is not responsible for failed, delayed, or misdirected payments resulting from incorrect information provided by you.
5.4. Once a payment is successfully processed and confirmed, a receipt will be made available within the App and, where an email address has been provided, sent to that email address.
5.5. Rollbacks and Refunds. The following rules govern the rollback or refund of payments made through the App:
(a) Processor-Level Failures. If a transaction is not successfully processed by the relevant payment processor (e.g., due to a network failure, timeout, or processor-side error), the payment processor will handle the rollback of such transaction in accordance with its own policies and timelines. Feezy is not responsible for delays caused by the payment processor in this scenario.
(b) Partner School Unable to Accept Payment. If a Partner School is unable to accept or process a payment that has already been collected from you (for example, due to the school’s own banking or operational issues), Feezy will roll back the payment to you, less any platform fee charged by Feezy for facilitating the transaction. The platform fee is non-refundable in this scenario, as it reflects the cost of the payment facilitation service already rendered.
(c) Successfully Paid Fees Are Final. Once a payment has been successfully completed and the corresponding fee is marked as “Paid” within the App, that payment is final and non-refundable. No refund, rollback, or reversal will be issued for a fee that has been marked as paid, except where required by applicable law.
(d) Allocation of Responsibility Between Feezy and Partner Schools. Once a fee is marked as “Paid” within the App, the Partner School agrees that it will not seek payment of that fee again from the Parent, regardless of whether or when the Partner School actually receives the corresponding funds from Feezy. Any delay, shortfall, or dispute regarding the transfer of collected funds from Feezy to a Partner School is a matter strictly between Feezy and that Partner School, and does not affect, and may not be raised against, the Parent. A Parent who has paid and been marked “Paid” within the App has fully discharged their fee obligation to the Partner School for that invoice.
(e) Disputes relating to a failed, duplicate, or incorrectly processed transaction through the App’s payment facilitation (as opposed to a completed and confirmed payment) should be reported to Feezy support for review.
5.6. Transaction history is made available within the App for your reference. You are responsible for retaining copies of receipts for your own records as needed.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
6.1. Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
6.2. Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any account, Student record, or system not belonging to you;
6.3. Use automated means (bots, scrapers, etc.) to access or interact with the Service;
6.4. Misrepresent your identity or relationship to any Student;
6.5. Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service;
6.6. Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the App, except as permitted by applicable law.
7. Account Suspension and Termination
7.1. We may suspend or terminate your account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, engaged in fraudulent activity, or misused the Student search/verification feature.
7.2. You may request deletion of your account at any time through the App’s Settings. Upon request, your account will be scheduled for deletion within 30 days. You may cancel this request at any time during the 30-day period by logging back into the App. Further details on what happens to your data upon deletion are set out in our Privacy Policy.
8. Intellectual Property
8.1. The App, including its design, branding, software, and all content created by Feezy (excluding Partner School data and third-party content), is the property of Feezy and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws.
8.2. Student avatars displayed within the App are procedurally generated illustrations (via DiceBear) and do not depict real photographs of any Student.
8.3. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for its intended personal purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or lease any part of the App.
9. Third-Party Services
The App relies on certain third-party services to function, including but not limited to Firebase (authentication), and JazzCash (payment processing). Your use of features relying on these services may also be subject to the relevant third party’s own terms and policies. Feezy is not responsible for the acts, omissions, or service interruptions of third-party providers.
10. Disclaimers
10.1. The Service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
10.2. Feezy is not responsible for the accuracy of fee, enrollment, or Student data provided by Partner Schools. Any concerns regarding the accuracy of such data should be raised with the relevant Partner School.
10.3. Feezy does not provide educational, legal, or financial advice through the App.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Feezy and its officers, employees, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, revenue, or goodwill, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Feezy’s total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount of fees processed through your account in the [three (3)] months preceding the claim, where applicable.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Feezy and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your breach of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any rights of a third party, including any unauthorized linking of a Student to your account.
13. Changes to the Service or These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the App or via email (if provided). Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
14. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Insert Jurisdiction, e.g., Islamic Republic of Pakistan], without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lahore/Punjab, Pakistan.
